The sweet life. This café, La Maison Rose is one of our favourite places to chill out and have a good coffee. They serve great meals too.
I’m taking lots of polaroid photos to add to my polaroid photo album.
We had our Christmas dinner at the Villa Shanti. Not only was the atmosphere special, but the food was fresh and clean. I just adore the stars, they were what made it so special in my eyes.

Today we had a coffee that is meant to be the best in Pondicherry- they boil the milk for hours and hours but the rest we don’t know because it’s their secret and what gives them their charm. Have you ever tried Indian sweets before? I cannot go a day without them. Since we’ve been here each afternoon J and I go out for our coffee and very sweet slice of whatever Indian delight we decide on.
Tomorrow we are going to talk to some local jewelry makers about some designs I’ve had in mind for Cleopatra’s Bling. I’m sure you’ll love what’s to come so stay tuned 🙂
My mother is such a cutie.

This little Indian princess lives in our street. Today we went to the flower market where they make strings of flowers to offer to the gods, namely Ganesh.
I’d like to wish all of my lovely readers a very happy and safe Christmas time and a very happy new year. So much more to come from me to you in 2013. xxx

Today was hotter than yesterday which was great for me because I thrive in 30-something weather. We had paneer masala curry for lunch with lassi’s.
This fellow won the award of most interesting character today. What innovative transport. Isn’t he creative?
Indian street art.

I’m about to have my first Ayurvedic oil massage. So excited. And tonight I’m guessing more street food because that’s the way we do it!

Today we met Lahskmi the elephant of Pondicherry. She is considered as a living God. She arrived in Pondicherry at the age of 6- in 1997. Her bath and makeup in the morning take two hours. What a princess! I was very taken by her eyelashes.
We are very excited about both our parents arriving from their sides of the world- Australia and France. What an exotic Christmas we’ll have.
Tonight we ate the most wonderful street food and drank Indian coca cola- “Thumbs up”!

After a rocky start (Indian Air misplacing J’s suitcase- apparently it arrives tomorrow but I’ll believe it when I see it, hehe!), we are here in Pondicherry getting back into the swing of the Indian lifestyle.
This place is so photogenic- I have been clicking all day.
These stars are everywhere for Christmas.
This is how J got his sandals made- they drew his foot!
I’d love to write you more but my eyes are going to drop out of my head. After we have caught a few more z’s I’ll write you funny and strange stories from the country where everything is possible. So refreshing to be here after rigid Europe. Not to mention the heat!

I often make J muffins that I freeze and he takes one out every morning for his snack. Gosh I spoil him. The last batch I made was banana, blueberry and müesli.
Tonight we leave for Pondicherry until the 4th of January. Have you seen my pictures of our last trip there?
